Just wanted to touch base with you and let you know Riley is doing great. She has a wonderful new veterinarian now who is very happy with your homemade diet. At 20 months of age Riley weighs a healthy and stable 78 lbs. now and gets 30oz of food daily. She is trim and muscular but not skinny.

We just ran updated bloodwork on her and all values are completely normal, no signs of any kidney or other issues. And her coat is gorgeous, shiny without any signs of skin issues or dandruff. She is a very healthy and happy girl.

When my 13 year old beloved golden retriever had a reaction to a new food, I decided I wanted to give him the cleanest food possible in hopes of a quick cure to his skin problems. My vet referred me to Shelly at Cooking 4 Canines, and when I spoke with her, I was instantly appreciative of her knowledge of pet nutrition and health.

Chester was immediately thrilled with his new meal plan, and has absolutely thrived on it. One and a half years later, he is an active and happy boy that takes no prescribed medication. Shelly has been absolutely amazing with preparing his food, and at reviewing his regular blood work and advising on supplements and lifestyle.

We were referred to Shelly when our Bernese Mountain Dog, Sophie, was slightly less than a year old. A friend in our dog club recommended her because she had helped him with his Bernese. Sophie had just been diagnosed with Renal Dysplasia, no gall bladder and a “defunct” liver. We had taken her to 5 different vets and they all told us pretty much the same thing — Sophie wouldn’t live to see her 2^nd birthday.

After looking at Sophie’s blood work and test results, it was decided that Shelly would make up a raw beef diet for Sophie that included renal and hepatic support supplements. This diet was all organic — nothing in there that I couldn’t pronounce or that I didn’t know what it was, no chemicals, additives or preservatives.

Sophie loved her new food. We saw improvements in her coat and skin right away and over time we saw her ALT and AST come down. At one point they were so elevated they didn’t even register on the charts, but with her new food, her levels dropped down to her “normal.”

Sophie did so well on Shelly’s food that when we brought our new Bernese puppy, Spirit, home she was put on the same diet and she also flourished.

The average lifespan of a Bernese Mountain Dog is between 7–8 years. We were told Sophie wouldn’t live to see her 2^nd birthday. Sophie lived to be a little over ELEVEN YEARS OLD. We attribute that mainly to Shelly and her wonderful dog food, great advice and always appreciated support over the years.

We love Paws Cafe and have been feeding, both raw and cooked, from there since 2007. Started with our first Shiloh Shepherd, Gryphyn, and continued with each new puppy and a failed foster. We currently have 3 Shilohs, all on Paws Cafe food.

They are large dogs and all have been extremely happy and healthy on the food. They gobble down both morning and evening. Two eat raw, one cooked as she needs more calories at her age of 11+. They have fabulous coats, no fleas or issues that could be diet related.

Shelly is always available to answer any questions diet related and is extremely knowledgeable about nutrition and health of the dogs. She has helped me get our foster, Sam, who came with lots of issues, on track so he is now able to digest and metabolize his meals and is now a healthy weight with correct stools.

There has never been any problem with the food. I highly recommend Paws Cafe for the quality of the food, the service, the integrity of the people and Shelly's ability to figure out different and difficult feeding issues.

As long as we have dogs we will be feeding Paws Cafe!

Shelly has made every single meal for Mooki since he was 8 weeks old. Every single meal. He is 11 now and his fur is as soft as when he was little. I attribute his softness and his general good health to his food, and that means to Shelly.

Amber loves her new food! She twirls and whirls, wiggles and wags instead of backing away as she did with her prescription food. Her itch is under control and her fur, always nice, has become luxurious. Even her groomer noticed. It is easy to make and costs less than half of what I was paying for the yucky prescription food. That counts the meat and the 5 oz containers I use each day.

It was when our Newfie, Page, was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease that we discovered Paws Cafe. The food was a big hit with Page and she lived a very long happy life eating only their food. She never had another gastro issue after switching.

Our other two dogs were jealous of Page’s food which led to them getting a spoonful here and there and eventually they too were switched 100% to Paws food. Our orders have never been late or damaged in transit; they always arrive in great shape. Their packaging is excellent. We give Shelly and John high praise for creating and delivering top notch dog food.

So thankful to have discovered this dog food and Shelly! For more than 10 years we struggled to find a food that our Shih Tzu wasn't allergic to and that she would eat without hesitation. In the past she would go days without eating and give herself ulcers. We've been feeding her the Ultra Limited Ingredient for at least 2 years now and haven't had a single issue with our pup since. She smells better, hasn't had an ulcer the entire time and she loves her food.

Paws Pet Foods was able to create a very specific custom food for my old Yorkshire Terrier. Better yet, my dog absolutely loves it! She gobbles down her food and is maintaining her weight in spite of being old and rather ill. I highly recommend Paws.

My 4 year old mini dachshund has always been a picky eater. Put down the food — she'll sniff it and eat it later — sometimes not at all. Not with Paws Pet Foods. As I am mixing it in the bowl she is staring at me, tail wagging. As soon as I put it down she gobbles it up. Now she eats better than me! I would HIGHLY recommend.
